Early Childhood Music Aide
The Early Childhood Music Aide position works with the lead teacher in music and piano classes, assisting with music instruction, student behavior and modeling, and class activities to promote a positive and effective learning environment for children age 4 to 9 years.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; ongoing or completed college coursework in music or early childhood preferred.
- Knowledge of music education and/or early childhood is desirable. Interest in working with young children in a musical setting is essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
Calendar: September to May with breaks for Thanksgiving week, Winter Break (2 weeks), Spring Break, and August, and the possibility of optional Summer Session classes in June and/or July.
Compensation: $20 per class aided. Each class is 60 minutes in instruction with 5 minutes of prep/clean before and after, for a total 70 minutes for each class aided.
